To change your G34 slide release, ensure the firearm is unloaded and the magazine is removed. Then, disassemble the pistol into its main components, locate the slide release, and use a tool to press out the trigger pin. Finally, carefully remove the G34 slide release and position a new one in its place.

Sometimes referred to as a “slide cutout,” the opening on top of a Glock 34 slide is used to reduce weight and muzzle rise.

To install a new Glock 34 slide, you’ll want to first ensure it is unloaded, remove the magazine, and then field strip the firearm. To field strip, press the eject button found below the trigger guard, release the magazine, and then set it aside from the weapon. Next, you’ll want to safely pull the slide back, point the gun at the floor, and pull the trigger to release the hammer.

You’ll then want to remove the existing upper and move the barrel and recoil spring to the new slide.

The Glock 34 slide is approximately 8.15 inches (207 mm) in length. However, it’s always a good idea to refer to official specifications or measure it directly if precision is essential for a specific application.
